Sport & Culture Department

Our team of professional state-qualified instructors offers you bespoke activities. Services include return transportation in the hotel’s private shuttle along with the necessary equipment for the chosen activity (an additional charge is required for equipment hire for some activities).

Sports and cultural activities are adapted to suit individual desires and abilities, from beginners through to keen athletes.

The Sport & Culture department is open every day from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Transfers & tips

Whatever the chosen activity, the Sport & Culture team takes care of everything, from someone to accompany you through to return transportation from the hotel to the activity venue in the private shuttle.


The activity leaders are well-acquainted with the area and take great pleasure in sharing their knowledge and anecdotes.

Ski Shop

In winter, the Hôtel Royal turns into a proper ski resort! With its own ski shop, the Hôtel Royal provides its guests with high-end equipment. Each guest receives expert advice from the Sport & Culture professionals when being equipped.

Activities available at the Evian Resort

Guests have access to the sports facilities in the grounds of the Evian Resort: multi-purpose sports pitch (basketball, volleyball, handball…), petanque ground, mini football pitch as well as 4 tennis courts, one of which is covered. Tennis lessons are available, for beginners or experienced players, from a state-qualified instructor who is on-hand for guests (prices on request).

Sports equipment – purchase, rental or loan

To make sure that guests get the most out of the sports facilities located in the Hôtel Royal’s grounds, the Sport & Culture Department provides the required equipment at no extra charge (balls, golf clubs, petanque balls, tennis rackets, etc.).


You can also hire or purchase all the equipment you need for sports activities such as mountain bikes, walking shoes, ski trousers, jackets, gloves, helmets, etc). from the Sport & Culture Department.
